On Patrol by FurLined On Patrol by FurLined
Loki, the 10 month old Bengal kitten, prowling the streets (on a leash ;)).

You can see he's only got one paw in contact with the ground at this moment - he's not quite running, but he's picked up the pace a little from a walk.

You may use this as stock or reference but please give credit if you do.

Aw, cute! Your cats are so beautiful. I've heard bengal cats described as 'doglike' - do you find this to be true?

Such a handsome boy!  He looks so sleek and calm and all, but, his sensors are on overdrive, I'm sure!  He looks like he has zoomed in on something.
Are these cats, Bengals, a common pet or do you have to have a license or whatever to keep one?  Obviously, I know very little about them.  How big will he get?

Bengals are a regular cat breed; neither especially big/heavy nor especially small -you can buy one like you could buy just any housecat. They are the result of a cross breeding of domestic felines and asian leopard cats a couple generations back, which is where they get their pretty looks from. As for temperament, just speaking from experience with my own Bengal mix, they can be extremely talkative and are very social beings. (My sister even managed to teach him some dog commands like 'sit' xD )
It's a very popular breed so you can find plenty of information with a simple Google search :)

I just love the shot. so clean. =)

This Bengal is really handsome and looks like he’s on a mission. Like a police cat. ^.^ The new of the feline officers.

This make me miss my cat. I used to take him out for short walks. He tend to stop every 10 centimetre to lay down, that lazy couch potato. and the sun being all warm and pleasant didn't help his motivation for exercise either. XD

I'd LOVE to be able to go on walks with my future cat. Most likely I won't get a Bengal though since I can't handle its wild side as much as I want. ouo

Loki looks absolutely beautiful and is so concentrated in his "patrol". :D

A well bred later generation Bengal (more than 5 generations from a crossing) isn't wild as such, but they are an intelligent and active breed so need the usual considerations of having enough stimulation and activity in their lives so they don't get bored/destructive. Apart from his occasional hyperactive mad episodes Loki spends a lot of time napping, often lounging in the gap between me and the couch arm.

I've had bengals and shorthair cats before. The difference was that the bengals were very excited to play and really grew obsessed with me. Their wild side never caused any trouble... as they were always just playful (I never noticed anything wild). Buy a string with a feather at the end and have them jump around after it for a while. Otherwise, definitely get a bengal. They're too wonderful and loving to miss out on! They aren't Savannah cats so a wild side just isn't an issue. =)

So cute! Bengals just have this grace to them, very sleek and 'dangerous' looking. My kitty takes me for walks around the neighborhood all the time--and he even allows me to attach a leash to him so he doesn't lose me ;).

Hah, yeah when I take him out it's a bit more like him taking me for a walk than the other way around. I basically follow where he goes and occasionally stop him going where he shouldn't (he's usually quite good at responding to me locking the leash, unless he really really wants to go somewhere like if there's a bird looking at him funny).
