Fluff was a cat belonging to a friend of mine. She was a stray early in her life before being taken in by my friend so her exact year of birth is unknown, but we think she'd made it to the grand old age of about 20 years old which is good going for a cat! I've often fed and played with Fluff (and my friend's other cats) while my friend is on holiday so I got to know her fairly well. Although she permanently looked stern she was actually very sweet, with a lovely loud purr when stroked. Fluff never took any nonsense from other cats and even in her advancing years would barge the younger and stronger cats out of the way if she wanted some of their food.
I got a DD for one of my photos of her (titled "Queen Fluff") from when she must have been around 15 years (and looking very fine for her age):
She had epilepsy for many years and for the past couple of years she'd become fairly arthritic in her hips/back legs, had also gone deaf and her eyesight hasn't been great, but she soldiered on and my friend and her family have done an excellent job of looking after her (and I've done my bit when my friend was on holiday). Sadly Fluff's health had finally deteriorated to the point where my friend took the tough decision that it was kindest for Fluff to say goodbye to her and help her cross rainbow bridge.
So Rest In Peace Fluff.
